CLASS OVERVIEW
Did you know that the most abundant system in your body is connective tissue? New science is revealing that the source of most inflammation and pain is caused by dehydrated connective tissue. Join Erin for an introduction to The MELT Method, a scientifically proven connective tissue hydration methodology.
MELT is a gentle self-treatment technique that enhances mobility, stability, and performance and is clinically proven to reduce chronic pain while restoring overall well-being. Hailed by doctors and health practitioners around the world as the ultimate self-care system, The MELT Method uses soft rollers and specialized hand + foot treatment balls to reduce inflammation, increase hydration and immediately decrease aches and pains. No experience necessary. All equipment provided. Limited space is available.
Erin has been teaching yoga locally and internationally for more than 25 years. She is a certified 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with the Yoga Alliance, and a certified MELT Method instructor. Additionally, while living in England, she was certified by the British Wheel of Yoga, a three-year yoga teacher training program recognized by the British government.
Although she teaches multiple yoga styles, Erin’s specialty is Yin Yoga, a profound practice that emphasizes long-held but passive poses, which enhance flexibility in the joints and instill lightness and grace in the body. She learned from the best, training extensively with master Yin Yoga instructors Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, as well as with Erich Schiffmann.
Erin loves teaching beginning yoga, Vinyasa Yoga Flow, and an all-levels mindful-movement class she created called Qigong Yoga Flow. By infusing her classes with warmth, humor, and extensive yoga, dance, and movement experience, Erin taps into the vast richness of yoga in a way that surpasses the simple physical practice of asana.
Erin is a Marin County native and received her degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco. When not teaching or leading retreats, Erin is a lifelong student of all styles of yoga and mindful movement practices including Qigong, Gyrotonics, Gyrokinesis, and Pilates.
