KATIe CLARE

Katie Clare teaches a loving, grounding, and empowering flow. Her greatest intention and prayer is that yogis leave her class feeling more connected to their hearts. Katie describes this as “the return” and understands this as the most important part of yoga. In her words, “By dropping into our life-giving breath, we are granted the gift of presence. Through presence, we access the clarity to see, feel, and embody our truth as compassionate beings...the ultimate sensation of being home.” Yoga has influenced Katie's life since first practicing in the great outdoors at her summer camp as a young girl. There the seed was planted. She went on to participate as one of the youngest in Annie Carpenter’s Smartflow Yoga 200-hour training and later to live at the Esalen Institute where she continued studying and teaching. Her intimate knowledge of the practice largely comes from her commitment to always being a student first. With gratitude, she has spent thousands of hours practicing with masterful teachers such as Lael Humphries, Janet Stone, and Jovinna Chan. Katie draws inspiration from her deep connection to nature. She describes, "I love the inherent sense of freedom that is remembered as we connect to the truth that we are nature. As we embrace this sense of interconnection, we open to the great teachings of the elements." Katie's classes are an exploration, a combination of liberating flows and the power of slowness. She empowers her students to modify and make the practice their own.

Each offering is a space for you to honor your intuition. Every class is an invitation to practice radical self-care and compassion, arriving just the way you are.
